TravelingMamas, an excellent travel resource for families, has a Travel Tuesday feature.
This week’s Travel Tuesday is about Wine and Vineyards. I love the Wine Country, Tim and I had our honeymoon there. We haven’t been back since the kids but the SFGate has pulled together some great tips for taking kids along for a visit to the Wine Country. I may rethink the notion that a visit to Wine Country can’t include the kids!
Napa Valley Vintners has a list of family-friendly wineries on its Web site and here’s a list from the SFGate article about Kid-Friendly Wine Country.

Can I suggest a Napa alternative? Livermore Valley has some fantastic wines, and as the wineries are much more “low key” (my words, not theirs) I think the children would love them. Plus it’s such gorgeous countryside, with walking and cycling options…
